CANADA FEDERAL INVESTOR PROGRAM – CLOSED

The Canada Federal Investor Program was opened from February 13 to April 15, 2015.

The Federal Government only received 500 applications under this program.

CIC also accepted applications from January 28 to February 11, 2015
and 60 applications were randomly selected and approved.

To be eligible for this program, you must:

• Have a personal net worth of at least $10,000,000 CAD
• Obtain a due diligence report from an authorized examiner
• Be willing and able to invest $2,000,000 CAD in the IIVC Fund
• Prove your proficiency in English or French at a CLB 5 level
• Have a completed Canadian post-secondary degree or foreign validated equivalent
• Not be inadmissible to Canada (crime, security, health, finances, etc.)

It is important for you to know:

• The investment is for a 15-year term
• The investment is not guaranteed
• At the end of the 15-year term, the investment reimbursement could be less or more
• The Fund will be managed by BDC Capital
• The investment is used to finance high growth potential innovative Canadian start-ups

QUEBEC PROVINCIAL INVESTOR PROGRAM

The Quebec Provincial Investor Program will open from
August 31, 2015 to January 29, 2016.

The Quebec Government will only receive 1750 applications under this program.
And only 1200 applications from any one country.

Investors who demonstrate an advanced intermediate knowledge of French
are exempt both from the above-mentioned intake deadline and quota.

To be eligible for this program, you must:

• Have a personal net worth of at least $1,600,000 CAD
• Have at least two years’ experience in running a business in the last five years
• Intend to settle in Quebec
• Sign an agreement to invest $800,000 CAD with an authorized financial intermediary

Assessment of your application will take into account other factors, such as:

• Your age
• The nature and duration of your professional training
• Your language skills

It is important for you to know:

• The investment is for a 5-year term
• The investment is guaranteed by the Quebec Government
• At the end of the 5-year term, the investment is reimbursed without interest
• The investment can be financed by an authorized financial intermediary
• The investment is used to finance Quebec Business Assistance Programs
